Hotel Central Teziutlan

The good points are the low price, clean rooms, kind staff, and a central spot right in the heart of the city. Some balcony rooms look out over the lively, somewhat noisy downtown street and the cathedral towers. There's also a gourmet coffee shop that offers room service, and parking is a real asset where spaces are so scarce, even if getting in and out is a bit tricky. The hotel feels colonial and has seen better days. The rooms aren't functional, and the shower and toilet don't work properly. Breakfast is limited to cereal or toast, juice or coffee, and a couple of slices of ham. I wish they'd update the place, because it could be great.

Breakfast was included, simple fare that may not suit fancier tastes, but it was clean and the waiter was kind. The service was very good, and the rooms felt comfortable and secure. 9/10.

The internet is painfully slow and keeps dropping, which is sad for a town that's now a Pueblo Mágico. This place really needs a lot of upgrades, especially more outlets. There's no heat, even though it's a cold area, but many hotels here don't have heating, despite the town being 500 years old.

It's handy to have everything nearby, and the location is very good. The people are so nice, and otherwise everything is great, though some things could be improved. The Wi-Fi is available but weak in some parts of the hotel, and the speed suffers when the signal is low. Adding extenders could be a good investment, at 500 pesos each. The car entrance and exit are too narrow and have plenty of crash marks. They aren't mine, but not everyone knows how to drive well.
