I needed somewhere close to the airport for a very early flight and hadn’t tried a City Express before. The hotel was extremely basic and only reasonably clean, and I just didn’t feel comfortable there. At least there are restaurants nearby, so we only had to come back to sleep for a few hours.

I’m a regular here and usually get excellent service, so this time was disappointing. The toilet seat broke, and when I reported it, I also told them it had pinched my buttock or leg and injured me. I asked about getting medical attention, but they said they don’t provide anything. I didn’t know a Marriott hotel in Mexico was “stay at your own risk.” Just a heads up to anyone staying at a Marriott in Mexico.

Getting into the hotel was a little confusing, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was great, and everyone was focused on getting us what we needed. Nahin, the young guy at the front desk, especially stood out.

We just needed a place to relax while waiting for our flight, and the rooms worked well for that. The hotel is across the street from the airport, so it was only a short drive.

The staff were cordial but not especially friendly, just doing their jobs. Breakfast was pretty flavorless, the bed was hard and a bit lumpy, and the room smelled like sewage. I wasn’t happy with my stay and wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
