Hotel Pacific

We were bitten all over by bedbugs, and when we finally realized what was happening, the staff blamed us for not figuring it out sooner. Afterward we spent the whole day at a laundromat washing all our clothes and bags before going home. The staff couldn’t have cared less when we told them.

This place sucks. My key failed about four times, and they had to move me to another room while making it feel like the problem was my fault. Since I was on the third floor, each time the key stopped working I had to go down to the first floor, then back up with a different key that also didn’t work. It kept happening over and over and was a huge inconvenience. This place is trash.

The bed was comfortable and the room was nice, and for the money it was a good stay overall. The jackhammer going nonstop in the morning wasn’t great, and the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. I don’t think many staff spoke English, which made things harder. They also require a $5 deposit for the TV remote.

The location is good, near Brasil street with lots of cafes, though there aren’t good places to eat or get breakfast. It seemed like a safe place, and the bedding was clean, but the mattress was very dirty and needs a cover. The room carpet was filthy and clearly never cleaned or vacuumed. They also charged $10 dollars more than the price they offered through the Booking app. I don’t think I’ll stay here again.
