Hotel Santa Fe

The room had no TV because, apparently, they hadn't paid the bill, and there was only a fan, no AC. The hotel is near everything, though it's set back enough to be fairly quiet. The front desk staff were atrocious and unfriendly. They acted like they couldn't speak English when it came to charging more and ignored the price I'd booked online. I told them I'd stay another night when I left for an appointment, but when I came back, the same woman had taken my clothes and bags out of the room. Do not stay here.

Downtown is only a two minute walk away, and parking is included. It seemed pretty safe, though you have to leave your car keys at reception. The rooms are basic, and the sheets were clean. My towels had some stains, but smelled nice. The receptionists weren't especially friendly, though they did their jobs. This applies beyond the hotel too: some streets around the main road can feel a bit unsafe after 10 or 11 at night. I wouldn't walk alone on empty streets, and I'd leave valuables at home.

It's cheap, they clean the room every day, and there's really good tacos right across the street. I love the place. Just know the bars nearby keep the party going all night, so it's definitely not for light sleepers.

The main street is noisy around the clock, though sometimes I get to hear good live music for free. There's gated private parking, but I still don't like leaving my key at the desk. I've never had a bad experience here, I just think of my car like my child, lol. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, there's hot water, Wi-Fi and good channels on TV. It's great for work trips, and the tacos across the street are awesome. I always come back to this one.
