We had a room booked for the trip to San Diego and the return. The first stay was fine, but when we came back, they left us stranded. They said there had been an "Incident" in our reserved room, so nothing else was available, and they didn't even have the decency to come to the door. Have a plan B if you stay here. I wouldn't come back, they have no clue about customer service. GOOD LUCK!

The one slight plus was being near Pedwest. There wasn't much else nearby, just thugs and homeless people on the streets, and the area felt unsafe and very loud. Our room was tiny, with a small bed, toilet, sink, and shower, despite being described as a suite. No refrigerator or microwave, and no elevator to reach the rooms on the third floor. The room needed repairs, the floors were dirty, and the bedding was stained. There were no towels, no soap, and no warm water in the shower. A hole above the door, apparently meant as a vent, let in noise. The owner lives on the premises, but was rude, lied, and was hard to reach. Since Tijuana is a border town, you'd think she might speak some English, but she didn't. She stays behind a metal gate and another set of locked doors. Avoid this place at all costs.

They have no reception desk, and after a certain time of day nobody answers the number they provide. The hotel was careless and unprofessional. If something goes wrong or you have a concern, you're on your own, or you can try the third-party hotel service, which also has trouble reaching them.

It's conveniently close to the border, which worked well for my work travel. The rooms were spotless when I arrived, and the staff did a good job keeping them clean. The owner is especially kind and respectful, and really goes out of his way to help guests. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The shower stayed broken through our entire four-night stay, and nobody ever apologized. We reported it the first day after the rusty showerhead sprayed water outside the tub, soaking our belongings, the bed, and pillows. They said we'd have to wait until the next day because it was late, but nobody came to fix it all day. The shower had poor pressure, so we couldn't bathe properly and had to use it as it was, which was frustrating. The TVs had no batteries for the remotes, the sheets and furniture were stained and in terrible condition, and the floor was very dirty. The place clearly isn't maintained. I don't recommend it, even for the price, which is too high for what it offers.
