Hotel La Villa de Zaragoza

Reliable and affordable in an emergency, though it could use remodeling.

I've been coming here since I was born, and I love the place. They've renovated the whole hotel, and the rooms are clean and beautiful. The staff are very friendly, and Revolución and El Centro are both within walking distance if you enjoy walking.

The rooms look nice, but this weekend I broke out in a rash all over. The bathrooms were moldy and smelled like cheese, and the pillows felt dirty. It also didn't look like the cleaning staff changed the bed covers, just the thin blanket. I came here a long time ago and everything was fine, but now I wonder if they're even using soap to wash the towels. The cleaning ladies seem to spend more time gossiping about us guests than cleaning properly.

I've stayed here twice now, and the price has been lower than other local hotels. On the first visit, the room was clean and smelled nice, with a big shower and a nice bit of hand-made furniture. It's a little off the beaten path, which made it quieter for sleeping away from the main street. I came back and stayed in the second building. The furnishings were less flashy, but the shower had a seat. The linens were a little worn, though everything was clean. Still five stars for me, and I doubt I'll book anywhere else when I visit.
