Hotel Suites del Sol

The building doesn’t look like much from outside, but the rooms are clean, new, and really nice. Just call the manager before you arrive to settle on a check-in time. They’re only there during certain hours, but will work around your schedule. If you’re after a clean, nice place to stay, this works well. Just don’t expect a five-star hotel unless you’re paying five-star prices.

It’s comfortable and well located, and getting in and out is easy. You can cook if you need to, which is nice. There’s no AC, though, so it’s not great when it’s hot. You get what you pay for. I might stay again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Rats, bad smells, and noise. There’s a fair nearby, so sellers start taking down their tents in the street at 3 a.m., then music plays under the window from 8 a.m. At 7 in the morning, a taco seller comes into the hotel and shouts outside the door. This place will leave you with unforgettable impressions.

Blanca was great, and the suite was awesome. The kitchen had plates, glasses, forks, spoons, and all the pots and pans. We had a great stay. The only downside was the small TV.
