We stumbled on this photogenic town a few miles off the Morelia - Mexico Hwy and were pleasantly surprised. A lovely little hotel sits on a cobblestone street, within walking distance of several attractive local spots and nice eateries. Friendly staff, good value, an excellent king size bed, and a balcony.

The owner was wonderfully hospitable, and we’d definitely come back. Although the region is cold, we didn’t notice it in the rooms. The hotel is opposite the entrance to Tlalpujahua, making it easy to reach the attractions. It’s a 5-minute walk to the cathedral or kiosk. There’s parking, the rooms are comfortable, and food service is available at certain times for an additional cost.

The staff are very friendly, and there’s parking, though the lot is small. It’s a comfortable hotel near the town square, with rooms offering either king-size or double beds, all with cable TV.

The location worked well for us. From the hotel, it’s about six minutes on foot to the market or church, and seven minutes to the auditorium for the Sphere Fair. It’s at the town entrance and has parking. The hotel itself is simple and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Recommended.
