Staff were very accommodating, and the location is handy for the town centre. For the price and location, I’d recommend it. Our room was quiet, though avoid the rooms at the front. It had just one tiny opening window, so the air felt still and humid. A large, noisy fan helped, and this was only an issue because of the unusually hot weather we had. Since it’s an older building, there aren’t many electrical outlets.

The staff helped us with anything we needed right away, and the rooms were clean and nice. It’s in a great spot, too. There’s a great little German beer place about five minutes away, right beside the main square, with a super selection.

Don't expect luxury here, but this is a cute, cozy little colonial hotel with a family feel, near downtown in a Mexican town. If you enjoy walking around and getting a feel for the places you visit, you'll love it. The rooms are clean, with hot water and firm beds that were good for resting, though they still have old TVs rather than flat screens. Breakfast is amazing if you want chilaquiles with arrachera and hot chocolate or orange juice. Ask about the "luciérnagas" trip, it’s amazing, but only runs in summer. Enjoy your trip!

I come back every year because they’re pet friendly. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a better hotel in Tlaxcala.
