Hotel Pasaje

The room booking is only held until 1:00 PM. For the price, though, this is a good hotel for families, and you can also stay by yourself. Adding two people costs another 50 pesos, which seems like the better value. They have cable TV, but you leave a 50-peso deposit for the remote when you arrive. You get it back when you return the remote at checkout.

The pillows were rough, uncomfortable, and covered in pilling, and ours smelled strongly of chlorine the first night. Maybe that was meant to keep pests away, which I appreciate, but the carpets smelled like feet and old clothes. We also couldn't get any extra blankets. The hotel does what it needs to for the money, and its very central, close to the bus terminal with easy access to public transport and main roads. There’s cable TV, though the sets are very old and you have to leave a $50 deposit for the remote.

For an inexpensive night, it was very comfortable. Rooms without carpet cost 250 pesos for one bed or 280 for two; with carpet, it’s 300 for one bed and 320 for two. Extra people are 50 pesos, and rooms cost 30 pesos more on Saturdays.

Clean and comfortable, and in a really good spot.
