Crowne Plaza Torreon by IHG

Breakfast stands out, with fresh ingredients and very good restaurant food. My room was comfortable and clean, with a great bed. The service is friendly, and the central location makes the Hotel Crowne Plaza Torreón a convenient choice for work or a leisure trip. Some parts feel a little dated, but the overall stay is reliable and well run.

The location is decent and the facilities are okay, but I'd choose another hotel, maybe Moka. My room wasn't clean: there was mold on the shower head, hair at check-in and by the entrance, a broken, dirty body wash holder, loose dirty grout between shifting floor tiles, and a broken lock. There's no fridge either. The staff were okay, though calls from the room went unanswered. My key card needed to be remagnetized every time I went back to my room, and getting problems fixed took around 2-3 hours. The toilet wouldn't fill, and I needed an iron replaced because mine had stones inside. When the steam was on, the stones shot out and put a hole in my shirt :(

The room was great, very clean, and had a nice view, clean sheets and towels, and even a drying line in the shower. I loved how friendly and courteous the staff were. The pool area needs cleaning and maintenance. The jacuzzi and sauna weren't working.

The restaurant food and service were very good, and the gym is good too. I didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and a decent size. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and in decent shape. The main drawback is the thin walls, which let in a lot of noise from the hall and neighboring rooms.
