Hotel Misión Grand Torreón

The location makes getting around easy, with well-known streets leading right to the hotel and everything close by. Parking is shared with the neighboring Intermall, which felt convenient and secure. The pool is attractive and nicely designed, though it could use a bit of upkeep and a few small repairs. Inside, the reception and dining spaces are roomy, tidy, and pleasant places to sit over coffee or a meal. There’s also a large lounge with good light and ventilation, and the waitstaff were quite good.

For a short stay, it can work if you find a good rate, but only up to a point. The room was a decent size and its cleanliness was average. There’s just one small elevator, no phone in the room to reach reception, and the TV is small with poor picture quality. The facilities overall could use improvement, and parking is shared with the small mall next door. The price for what you get is acceptable.

I wouldn't come back. The first floor near the gym entrance had a horrible sewage smell, and the carpets are very old. Both elevators were out of order, with maintenance expected to take five days. I've never stayed in a hotel without a phone in the room before. It felt like an inn in Zipolite or some Aguatero beach inn. If the owners won't invest in that service, the quality will keep slipping. This is a city, not just any town, and that investment should be treated as necessary, not as an expense. Maybe the owner and manager don't realize that.
