We paid about $3,000 pesos a night, which already seemed high when we booked, but we needed somewhere close to where we had to be the next day. For that price, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The rooms are large and clean, the air conditioner worked, and the staff were nice enough and tried to help. The biggest problem was the water. There was no cold water in our room, so my daughter and I took scalding showers before we realized. It was hot enough to burn our skin if we stood right under the faucet. We told the staff, but they said we were turning the knobs wrong and asked us to try again. My husband got burned too, and we had to insist that the cold water wasn’t working. The toilet also stopped flushing because there wasn’t cold water to fill its tank. They didn’t offer to move us until someone checked, confirmed the problem, tried to get a technician, and finally moved us the night before we left. For 1.5 of the 2 days we were there, we couldn’t shower safely. We’d booked partly for the pool, but it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was dirty, the filtration didn’t seem to be running, and dead stinging insects were floating in it. I removed at least 10, but there were still 50+ left. The breakfast was included, but it was so bad I almost didn’t eat it. I tried again on the second day, and it was no better. Don’t count on good food here. The restaurant also wasn’t open during the hours we’d been given. We got back around 6pm one night and my daughter was hungry, but they said they weren’t open, even though at check-in we were told dinner was served every night from 6-8pm. They made an exception and cooked her a small, simple plate of scrambled eggs so she wouldn’t have to go hungry. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with nothing really within walking distance, and you have to ask an employee to open the gate to get in or out. For what we paid, we were surprised by how bad the experience was. Maybe we’d have expected less at a lower price, but with terrible food, a really dirty pool, and the shower problem, I can’t recommend this place.

This was our fourth visit, and the last two stays have really disappointed us. We used to come often for the quiet and good service, but things have gone downhill. We had our 2-year-old with us and chose the hotel mainly because of the heated pool. This time, even with lots of guests, the water was cold. The facilities seem neglected too. The showers are in bad shape, and the beds are very hard. The buffet quality has dropped noticeably, and the customer service keeps getting worse. It was an unpleasant stay, and I don’t think we’ll be back. It’s a shame they don’t take feedback as a chance to improve and instead give a thousand excuses. 👎

The room was spacious, but there were so many mosquitoes that I couldn’t sleep. The air conditioner made a lot of noise the whole time.

The food could be better, but I’d come back. It’s a nice place to relax and close to other activities, so it works well as a base. The rooms are big and have air conditioning. There’s a pool, foosball and ping pong, and they lend out board games. All the staff were very attentive.

The gardens are beautiful and the whole place is really pleasant. My room was spacious and clean, and the service was especially good. I had an excellent stay at Hotel Casa Bella and highly recommend it.
