Coco Hacienda Tulum

The hot tub plumbing had a lot of caulk built up when we tried to use it, so we had to skip it. Management should run the tubs' water occasionally. Also, a heads-up for light sleepers: construction throughout Tulum means there's substantial street noise all night, so bring earplugs. We spent ten nights at Coco Hacienda Tulum and honestly didn't want to leave. Our Oasis bungalow at the back, away from the pools, gave us extra privacy. It had a cute balcony with a little table and hammock. There were two pools and plenty of private spots to exercise or read. The accommodation was great, with a roomy bathroom and comfortable bed. The staff and service, cocktails, property, and breakfast were all wonderful. Breakfast only let you choose from one of three dishes each day, which we found a little disappointing, though understandable given the number of guests. We also liked being surrounded by nature and just outside the busy, chaotic part of the main Tulum drag.

This was my first time leaving the US, and the staff helped make it such a good experience. They were helpful with taxis and made sure we knew where to go. The hotel and grounds were clean and beautiful, the food was delicious, and our spacious room had a jacuzzi tub that was a perfect touch. We treated ourselves to massages, which were absolutely worth it. My only small complaint is that there was no fridge in the room, so we couldn't keep food or drinks cold. Still, if that's the only downside, five stars feels right. We'll definitely stay again next time we visit. Thanks to everyone at Coco Hacienda!

The location is right in the center of Tulum Town, close to restaurants, bars, and cafes, and the two pool areas make an intimate place to wind down. The included spa is very complete, with a jacuzzi, dry sauna, steam room, and more. The gardens are especially impressive. The property used to be a plant nursery, and you can see the care and dedication in every corner. The rooms are named after the nearest trees. The owners seem to have thought of all the little things guests might need or enjoy. The room and common areas are beautifully decorated, and the quality of everything stood out. Service was impressive, from reception to the breakfast team. The food was delicious comfort food, with something different to enjoy every morning. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at.

We absolutely loved our stay. The room was lovely, with a huge bathroom and a hammock out front. The grounds were beautiful, the staff were great, and breakfast was included. Bikes were available to rent, and the pool was delightfully cool on a warm day. I felt sick on our last day, and they kindly let us check out late before we had to drive back to Cancun Airport. All around, a great experience.
