Glamping Bunga Lotus

We loved our time at Bunga Lotus. Manuel, Sergio, and Oti were warm and welcoming, and the food was great. It was quiet and relaxing in the jungle, with a really good pool and other high-quality facilities.

The place is peaceful, and there are nice cenotes very close by, though it can be a little hard to find. We had a really good time. The food and service were good, it felt safe, and there was a fun game to play. Keeping a place like this up must take a ton of work, and they’re doing an amazing job.

It’s about a 20-minute drive from Tulum, in the Dos Ojos area, so having a car is strongly recommended if you want to explore. The place itself is paradise if you’re after a quiet break away from the nearby town’s hustle and bustle. The people running it are absolutely amazing.

The trip there takes some effort. The access road is unpaved, and an SUV would probably be a better choice. Once we arrived, though, it was pure jungle and had the most beautiful pool we saw on our two-week road trip. We stayed in tent number 3, where the bed was very comfortable. The accommodation seemed to be run by an older woman who also cooked, along with her son. We found them very nice. The food was fine: dinner was adequate, while breakfast was great, with toast, butter, jam, different fruits, and an omelet. We spent New Year’s Eve there to get away from the crowds, and it was the nicest place we stayed in all of Yucatán. We wished we’d planned ahead better, since we lost time we would have liked to spend there. A memorable experience, definitely.
