The place was clean but basic. For the area, the price seemed fair given how little competition there is, though Valladolid might be worth considering for better infrastructure and prices. We had no lights for more than three hours, and it didn’t seem like the hotel had a backup generator. With the heat and so little to do nearby, that was an unpleasant surprise.

Cobá is a short drive away, but a car is essential. Parking was awkward on the rocky sandy patch outside the hacienda. The place itself is calm and quiet, close to the jungle, and makes for a nice romantic stop. Just expect plenty of driving. And if you’re taller than 1.80m, everything will feel too small. The staff seemed willing to help, but spoke little English. They were also confused by simple questions, like where to get dinner, though translated Spanish can be confusing. Breakfast was very meagre, barely more than toast, fruit, coffee, and a carton of juice. This would have been a four-star review if there had been any options at all to eat or drink at the hacienda. Even going into town for a bottle of water is a hassle, and most restaurants close around five, when the tourists leave.

No pool or TV here, but they do have WiFi and breakfast, and can handle laundry if you need it. It's a small, clean, attractive hotel tucked into the jungle, with just a handful of rooms. A nice spot to unwind with the sounds of nature.

A good escape from the bustle of Cancun and Tulum. The innkeeper was really friendly, and the place felt clean and safe. There's a pool and WiFi too.
