6/10
The room and bathroom turned out to be fairly modern, even though the hotel doesn't look impressive from outside. They offer free bikes, which you really need to reach the ruins, beach, and cenotes. Our room was somehow full of mosquitoes despite having no windows or doors open, so bring repellent. It was a bit noisy by the highway, and we didn't feel welcome. A young teenager was at the front desk each time, and seemed to act as though we were bothering him.

We booked more than a month ahead and called the night before to confirm. When we arrived, they said there was no room for us. Completely unacceptable, and they weren't even apologetic.
