Kantuun

The location is convenient for the city center, cenotes, shopping malls, and other places to visit. The furnished apartments are bright and spacious, with large windows opening onto a terrace and jacuzzi. Looking out over the trees, we spotted squirrels and different exotic birds. There are shared spaces too, including an outdoor gym made from wood and logs, a laundry area, and poolside spots with a grill, bars, a griddle, and benches. The pool stays at a pleasant temperature. Parking is outside the complex.

For the price listed on Airbnb, I thought it was okay, though the apartment's single multipurpose bedroom seems best suited to a short stay for no more than two people. I don't know whether the place is new or poorly managed, but getting in meant pushing open a front door that didn't work, and the reception area was cluttered with air conditioners and boxes. The pool was closed for a day after a special chemical was added. Parking is out front and limited, and the spaces are on the street anyway. The street and nearby roads are unpaved and dusty. It could improve over time.

The apartment itself was okay. What made this a bad stay was having no hot water in the shower and, more than anything, getting no reply from the host when we messaged. If you rent out a place that's not in good condition, you should at least respond to your guests. I can't recommend it.

A lovely, quiet place with a pool and security. Great for a relaxing stay.
