Playa Las Palmas Glamping Tulum

We were so sad to leave Playa Esperanza Tulum. The quiet beach had none of the resort atmosphere, and there was no music, which was just right for relaxing and reading. The rooms were clean, beautiful, and exotic, with idyllic ocean views. It felt like being in the jungle, and we could hear the waves in the morning. Some rooms have AC and some don't. At this time of year, there were a few nights when we didn't need it. The staff were so nice and the service was very good. If you want to relax and enjoy a perfect beach day, this is the place. We'd recommend it completely. Thank you for an incredible stay!

We loved the quiet, understated feel of this place in the national park. Even among the park's venues, it felt especially discreet, far from Tulum's party scene. The little pool was refreshing, beach club service on the sand was very nice, and the food was delicious. A few small things could be better: a nicer coffee setup, maybe an espresso machine, more surface space for storage in the rooms, and an extra blanket since it can get chilly at night. Still, it was a great experience.

You can't beat waking up to waves with the beach right there. The location is great, but comfort doesn't seem to be the priority. It's rustic, with very little staff around, old-feeling rooms, a gap in our door, and mosquitoes everywhere. It has charm, but the place feels tired. The staff were mixed. One guy was super nice, another seemed not to care at all. We didn't enjoy the restaurant food, and there are better options nearby. Come for the view, not the comfort.

We booked expecting a good location because of the high reviews, then realized the property is inside the national park, past the checkpoint. You have to pay each time you enter, so those fees can add up. We booked a different hotel and asked for a partial refund, but Esperanza wouldn't refund the full amount after we complained that Expedia's description was misleading. They also ignored our questions on Expedia before we cancelled. At the time I wrote this, avoiding the stay meant we didn't pay 415 per person per day, or possibly the resort fee of about 150 USD, which was listed for some rooms but not others. That was way over our budget.
