The hotel has a natural feel, with greenery and reed fencing. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear and sent ahead, though there’s no reception desk. Our bedroom and bathroom were large, but the kitchenette was poorly equipped. There’s an outdoor shower and a jacuzzi, but the jacuzzi is uncovered, so bits kept getting into the water. The road to the hotel is rough and full of potholes, and the area still seems to be developing. There aren’t many places to eat nearby.

There were a few things that could’ve been better maintained, and staff weren’t around. I actually liked the privacy, though. Nobody bothered me when I went to my room or the pool, and that suited me well. The place was great, and I’d definitely come back. Thanks.

The rooftop pool and hammocks were nice, and there’s a cute coffee shop and convenience store across the street. The location is about 10-15 minutes from everything, though the roads leading to the hotel are terrible, like many in Tulum. We felt safe despite staff not being there all the time, and whenever we had an issue, they were willing to help. Breakfast is cooked to order from 8-11am. The rooms and setup were nice, and the beds were comfortable, but there aren’t many amenities. It wasn’t the cleanest, and housekeeping won’t make your bed or replace toiletries or towels. The hotel was hard to find at first among all the others in the area. We seemed to be the only guests that weekend. It’s quiet, relaxed and flexible, and for the price, not bad. I’d like to see how the area develops, it has potential.

The staff were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. On the first day, we lost a wallet down the pool drain, and they came to help get it out within half an hour. Majaro made planning easy for our large group, suggesting excursions, restaurants and beach clubs. We booked a cenote tour, and they took care of all the details. They also arranged airport transportation for the whole group, even though we only asked on departure day. The clean rooms are spacious, with a nice mix of private and shared places for the group to spend time. We loved the private pools, especially the rooftop ones. The hotel sits conveniently between Tulum town and the hotel zone, and we had no trouble getting taxis. You can tell they pay attention to details. They went above and beyond to make the trip great.
