Axkan Arte Hotel Tuxtla

The dampness was one of the worst parts of the stay. The room felt suffocating, our clothes became damp, and we were coughing. Since the door and window faced straight onto the pool, we couldn't open either for air. Noise came through constantly too, as the rooms are almost not soundproof at all. For three guests, they provided just two towels and one small bottle of water. After the room was cleaned on day two, we again got only two towels and had to ask for a third. We asked for a fourth to use as a bath mat because there wasn't one in the shower, but staff kept questioning why we needed it. Without a mat, water spread across the bathroom and into the rest of the room. These may seem like small things, but having enough towels for the guests and basic amenities would have made a real difference. I hope they fix this for future visitors.

The bathroom was horrible, and the hotel entrance looked dirty.

There was no toilet seat in our room. The receptionist said they would bring one, but it never arrived. It wasn't comfortable, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. That's no way to deal with a problem in a hotel.

Nwan. I booked because I had a conference the next morning, but the room's internet was so bad I could barely load a browser, let alone join a Teams video call. When I complained, they told me the connection was good. I also couldn't lock the door when I left, and breakfast was an awful experience. Please avoid!
