Hotel Mi Solar Ejecutivo

Both rooms I was given had hair throughout the bed, shower, and toilet. The first was dirty, and after I complained they moved me to a nicer room, but it still had hair everywhere. The hotel doesn't keep the rooms sanitary. I wouldn't recommend it; the rooms are filthy.

We spent a week here in September 2020. The hotel was clean, cozy, and had no bugs or bad smells. Staff were polite, outgoing, and very helpful. The kitchen and dining area were closed because of the pandemic, but the downtown location put us close to everything, including food stands. The only issue was the Wi-Fi going out at night during rainy thunderstorms. The staff tried hard to troubleshoot and even let my daughter use the staff Wi-Fi for her schoolwork. Given what was available at the time, I'd rate it 5 stars.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, within walking distance of centro, and the service was great. Room 65 faced the dining tables, though. Noise continued until 11 pm, and it felt awkward coming and going with people eating outside the door. The parking garage is small, and the Wi-Fi had no signal in our room. There was no free breakfast, and the room had no A/C, which we didn't need during our stay.

This was easily the best value hotel stay of our four weeks in Mexico. We had a spacious, clean room without a window, which was okay. The shower looked a bit old but was still perfectly fine. The hotel is beside the city center, with shops, restaurants, and food stands nearby. Most of the city's sights, including the amazing national park of Uruapan, are about a 15-minute walk away. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful, though the women at reception gave us wrong directions. The hotel restaurant served very good food, but the coffee was bad. We had a great stay, thanks, guys. We'd stay again, 10/10.
