Dinner was delicious and really affordable, and the free breakfast was just as good. The people at reception were kind and helpful, too. The La Quinta sits high on a lovely hill with beautiful hills all around and a sweeping, breathtaking view. Small towns can have big surprises, and this one did. If we ever return to. Era Cruz, this is where we'd stay.

The grounds are immaculate, with improvements happening from time to time, and the hotel is gated with thorough, patrolling security. The infinity pool has a swim-up bar, water lounge, bench seating, and fountains, plus there's an outdoor lounge and a children's playground. Wedding accommodations are available and look exquisite. The wait staff are a little rough around the edges, but they were very accommodating, and our hosts spoke fluent English. This is a seriously underrated place and a must-stay along the way. Five stars from my experience, great job all around.

We enjoyed the pool on our second day, though it had closed early on the first. The place was clean inside and out, dog-friendly, and felt safe. One desk staff member we first met seemed a little put off by our early check-in request and could have been more pleasant. Still, it's a nice place to stay when visiting.

Everyone gave excellent service, from the lobby to cleaning and room service. They treated me very well and definitely exceeded my expectations. I especially want to recognize the person at the door, I think his name is Alfredo. He's very kind and helpful. Congratulations to the team!

The AC is noisy and doesn't cool, and the breakfast buffet is limited and expensive. The business center computers are outdated and barely work. Still, it's one of the best around here.
