We were given an upgrade on arrival and stayed at the Haceinda across the way. The room was large and the bed comfortable, and the hotel grounds are beautiful. The location beside the Uxmal ruins is excellent. Breakfast was included in our rate, and the onsite restaurant served a pretty good one. Staff were friendly, professional, accommodating, and gave us very personal service. The Wi-Fi in the rooms could be better, but I'd recommend this property.

The jungle setting makes this feel more exotic than a five-star luxury hotel, so don't expect that kind of polish. The rooms were clean, considering the palapa roofs and the surroundings. The AC and fan kept things plenty cool at night.

For a trip to Uxmal, this is where I'd stay. The accommodation and service are first class. Even the Queen of England stayed here in the 70's, so I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

We came away with wonderful memories, thanks in large part to Nicolas from the hotel team. We forgot our favorite sweaters in the dining area and didn't realize until the next day at the Merida airport. Nicolas tracked them down, confirmed he'd found them quickly, then went out of his way to arrange delivery to California. He managed it, too. Christmas came early this year, thank you! We'd also been upgraded to the hotel next to the Casa. I can't recommend the place or its people enough.
