The main drawback was the toilet, which had no seat. The lobby toilet was the same, so that seems to be how they do things here. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, with free off-street parking; town is about a 15-minute walk away. Our room was right off the kitchen, though, and from around 6 a.m. the cooking and conversations outside the door were extremely noisy. The bathroom seemed clean but could use some attention: only a few shower holes worked, and the grout was dirty. They also don’t provide a bath mat or hand towels.

The location works well, especially if you have a scooter or car. The garden and pool are lovely and well maintained, with turtles and cats around. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, though, are pretty worn: the doors creak, the handles rattle, and the shower has neither hot water nor much pressure.

The staff were rude and no help at all. Dogs barked all night as if they were right in our room, every second of the night. We didn’t sleep for three nights. A terrible stay, I really wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m glad we stayed here, away from the crowds and busy area. We had a rental car, and driving in the center was pure chaos. The backyard pool was cozy and nice, and Kitty Maci (or Maki) made our stay even sweeter. The room could use some work, with cracks and holes in the wall where ants get in, and the AC is loud, but we still had a really nice time.
