The road outside was the main issue for us. Traffic made the rooms quite loud, especially in the evening. Otherwise, we had a good stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, though they speak very little English. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with air conditioning, a fan, and a smart TV. The hotel is handy for walking to the center, bus station, restaurants, cafés, and even a cenote, with several good restaurants close by. We lost our key, which had a very large keychain showing both the hotel name and room number, but thankfully it was found. Staff assured us Valladolid is safe and that reception is open 24/7, though we still felt a bit uneasy about our valuables. That’s more general advice than a big complaint: if a key tag is needed, I’d put just the hotel name or the room number on it, not both.

The room was clean and spacious, but it was noisy. And there was no hot water at all, just water that felt somewhere between cold and really cold. Hot water is such a basic thing for a hotel to provide. There weren’t any towel hooks in the bathroom either, so where was I supposed to put my things?

The hotel seemed good, but it needs repairs. Both the room and bathroom smelled terrible. When we arrived, reception was closed, so I couldn’t tell anyone about the smell in the room.

The staff were friendly, and the place was clean. It was missing some basic things, though: the water got above cold but never really warm, and there were no towel hooks, coat hangers, or blackout curtains. Street traffic was noisy. It didn’t bother me much, but my wife is a light sleeper, so she used earplugs and an eye mask.

The shower had great pressure, and drinking water was supplied. Beds were big and comfortable enough, though not especially comfy, and the place was clean. The fan and air conditioning worked fine, and the common areas were nicely decorated. WiFi was very slow and sometimes wouldn’t connect. Road traffic and nearby partygoers could be noisy. There were no bedside lamps, just a bright main light and the bathroom lights. The price was decent. All in all, not bad.
