Xkopek Camping

Xkopek, Beekeeping Park (Parque Apícola Bienentour) made a lasting impression on us. The people there were kind and genuinely welcoming, and that warmth made the visit feel special, not just like another stop along the way. They were happy to answer our questions about the park, bees, and local ecosystem, and their enthusiasm for bee protection and teaching visitors why bees matter was clear. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and charming, with a peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by nature, it was easy to slow down and enjoy the simplicity of the place. The park itself is attractive, quiet, and carefully maintained and organized. Its combination of education, conservation, and eco-tourism feels thoughtful and important. For anyone interested in nature, sustainability, or beekeeping, this is a distinctive experience. We’d gladly come back and recommend Xkopek to visitors in the area.

I needed something to do on a hot morning in Valladolid, and this turned out to be just right. We got to see a dry cenote, learn a lot about stingless bees and meet some, then try some really good honey.

The beekeeping tour was really interesting. Eduardo guided us and did a fantastic job moving between English and Spanish, handling a group with people of all ages, and answering our questions. I walked there from town, though I’d also suggest taking a bike or the Va y Ven bus.

I’ve done the bee tour here twice. The latest one was quite good and informative, while my first visit was really excellent. You could tell that guide was passionate about bees and their conservation work. The tour is available in English and Spanish, with honey tasting, different local bee species, wild bees and hives to see, plus lots of interesting information about them.
