The rooms are generously scented and mix modern luxury with Spanish colonial charm. After entering the boutique perfumery, you step into a spacious, open courtyard where a delicious breakfast is laid out with cast-iron pieces, white cloth, and silver settings. The place is tucked into a corner of a broad square, easy to miss if you’re not looking. Mexico has so many beauties, from Cenotes to El Pastor to Meson De Malleville. Don’t miss this one. Buy a fragrance when you leave, so you’ll have a reason to come back. Je suis going back.

The rooms are personalized with the perfumes you choose at check-in. The design is incredible, the service was very punctual, and Soledad was so kind while Arturo made us feel welcome. Magical, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

Every detail seems made for guests to enjoy, and the location is right in the heart of downtown Valladolid. It’s a unique place with a unique experience. Photos can’t really do justice to this world-class maison, the kind of place most major cities will never have.

It’s quite an expensive hotel, but a lovely place to spend a night or two and get a break from all that hot sun. There are only four rooms, which gives it a private, exclusive feel. The massages are great, the service is very good, and the food is good too.

The included continental breakfast was honestly the best I’ve had anywhere. Each morning in the courtyard we had fresh mango, yogurt, granola, toast, marmalade, fresh-squeezed juice, and coffee. We spent two nights at Meson de Malleville-Coqui Coqui Valladolid on our honeymoon, our last stop before heading home, and I wish we could have stayed longer. We were in the master suite, with an amazing plunge pool and garden off the suite, a beautiful room with twin tubs, a large bathroom with an outdoor shower, and a stocked mini-fridge. There was a bit of a language barrier because we don’t speak Spanish very well, but Soledad, Wendy, and a very nice man whose name I didn’t catch were all accommodating and friendly. They were attentive and went above and beyond to make the stay wonderful. Such a beautiful place. I’d definitely recommend Coqui Coqui Valladolid to everyone, and I can’t wait to go back.
