The secure entry was a real plus. You need a key card to get in or out, which keeps unwanted guests away. The rooms were cozy, nice, and pretty clean, with a metro look I liked. My room faced the street and the bars below played music loudly to attract people. It kept me up until they closed at 4 am. There was no TV, which was frustrating when I got sick and spent a whole day stuck in the room with nothing to do. The price also seemed high compared with nearby hotels that offer more amenities.

The location made it easy to get around without a car. Lots of restaurants, bars, and shops are an easy walk away, and we used Ubers a few times for places farther out. A taxi ride to the US border takes 5-7 minutes and cost $5. Most taxi drivers don't know the hotel name, so tell them Hotel Ceasars on Avenida Revolucion, diagonally across the street. We had some trouble finding the entrance at first since it's up steep steps on the side of the building. We booked through Airbnb at a very reasonable price. The hotel is right above La Justina, where the cocktails are amazing. The beds have comfortable Casper mattresses, and the decor is simple, funky, and trendy, with fun bathroom and shower tiles, good for Instagram pics. We especially liked breakfast with live music at La Placita across the street, and the delicious ahi tuna tostadas and whole grilled octopus at Cevicheria La Mas Nais a few blocks away. Telefonica Gastro Park is also worth a taxi ride for its food trucks and upbeat vibe.

I really liked this hip hotel. The bed was great, the staff were super, and the coffee was good. Little touches make it feel unique and comfortable. It's right in the middle of the party on Calle Revolucion. Recommended.
