We spent about a week in Bugambilla. It was a lovely room, thoughtfully furnished, with a little private terrace and great cross-ventilation. The coffee setup worked well, the shower had plenty of hot water, and there was a small desk for the occasional bit of computer work. Wifi was fast, and streaming on the TV gave us no trouble. Jonathan and the rest of the team were attentive and added a personal touch. Breakfast was outstanding and arrived right on time on the mornings we ordered it. The minibar and restaurant suggestions were listed by QR code, and the prices were around or a little below what you'd pay at a US convenience store. We tried several of their restaurant picks and liked them all. It's a bit quieter where the hotel is, which suited us. The waterfront is about a 10-minute walk away, and from there most of the main sights are easy to reach. Road construction made that walk take a little longer, but it wasn't difficult, and there are plenty of nice shops and stops for water, drinks, or snacks. Valle de Bravo does have its uphill stretches, though! The walk is the only reason I'd rate the location four stars. We arrived very late because of heavy traffic from Mexico City, and the staff were happy to wait for us. The place is good value, and a walk down to the lower levels of the property gives you a look at what may be coming for the hotel. If possible, paying cash may work out a little cheaper since there are no fees. Ask about paying the government room tax upfront too. It's negligible per day and seems common outside the big resort towns. I'd happily return. Valle de Bravo is a magical city, and Casa Acento made a great base for us.

We booked months ahead after the website said we wouldn't be charged before arrival. Not long after booking, they charged our card more than the quoted price. When we had to cancel a week before the planned stay, they refused to refund us. Very poor service. We don't recommend this place, and don't consider them serious business people.

This is our second visit, and we stayed 14-15 days. The service and the place are amazing, with a pool, jacuzzi, great views, and only a short walk into town. We'll definitely come back 🌸

The staff were attentive, but the parking setup was inconvenient. The hotel has no parking of its own, so your car has to be taken to a garage. They offered a spot on the property, though getting in and out depended on staff and was awkward because the street is so narrow. I left the same night because the room was dirty and badly neglected. The bathroom was in poor shape, the toilet was loose, and there were insects, possibly cockroaches or bed bugs. A strong chemical odor, maybe insecticide, made the arrival especially unpleasant. I asked for a refund after leaving, but received only half. Cleaning and maintenance need urgent attention.

The Monarch room is the most private, and the lake view and jacuzzi made for a relaxing stay. It's also within walking distance of the port. The furniture is beautiful, with thoughtful little details. The room's closeness to the avenue does mean some noise on weekend nights. The pool needed cleaning, and there were a couple of pieces of glass on the floor. Staff provided the services, but the attention didn't feel like real hospitality.
