For about $40, the room seemed like a decent deal for a single night between destinations, and it looked quite nice. But being right beside the pool meant families were swimming until 3 a.m. The damp smell was stronger than in other places we’d stayed in Mexico’s more tropical areas. There were several things about the room that weren’t ideal, though at that price I wasn’t sure what else to expect.

The restaurant at the Best Western was good, but the room here smelled moldy and needs updating. The pool was dirty, and check-in is actually at the Best Western. We walked five minutes, then turned back. The streets were full of garbage.

For an overnight stay, it’s passable, and being close to the airport is the main reason to choose it. The room was disappointing: the shower was old with weak water pressure, the door had no handle, and the beds weren’t comfortable.

Not recommended. The website photos are out of date, there’s no hot water in the rooms, and the magnetic locks don’t always work. The sheets were stained, the towels old, and the place smelled musty. Paint was peeling too.
