The property was clean throughout, and the staff were welcoming from the start. They even let us check in early. We enjoyed the pool, which was a nice height, and the restaurant had good food at a reasonable price. The air-conditioning units could use improvement.

The hotel was okay, with a nice rooftop pool and secure parking. Breakfast at the restaurant next door came with dry toast. When I asked for jelly, they brought two packets and charged 14 pesos.

It’s an older hotel in a quiet area, and the staff were friendly. The pool was clean, but the hot tub was cold. I told the staff and nothing changed. The room felt a little small, I had to kill a couple of cockroaches, and the mattress sagged to one side.

Right in downtown Veracruz, the hotel faces the ocean and is within walking distance of many attractions, including the Portales. Rooms are well appointed and reasonably priced. There are meeting rooms for fairly large groups, and the staff are very accommodating.

I’ve usually found hotel staff welcoming and helpful, so this was a first for me. They handled a situation we had with a really rude attitude.
