La Venta Inn Villahermosa Hotel

Handy for a night, with several places nearby. The staff were nice.

The location was good, and reception staff were helpful. It’s nice that there’s a restaurant, though the breakfast food wasn’t very good. A good hotel for a place like Tabasco. Recommended.

We paid 39.00 plus 7.00 in taxes and got a fantastic full breakfast included. The staff were great, and the whole hotel was clean, with no odors or chemical smells in the room or halls. Parking was secure and off the street. Our car was fully loaded, but I felt comfortable leaving it behind the hotel, where there were garage cameras and what looked like a security guard on duty. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was good, but after what happened I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We arrived with our dog after a 12-hour drive. Pet-friendly rooms can be hard to find, so we expected the 300 pesos nightly dog fee. At checkout, though, my husband was charged another 200 pesos for cleaning. Our dog is a well-behaved, trained service animal who only goes to the bathroom outside and doesn’t bother furniture or walls. They said the extra charge was for sweeping and washing the sheets. Shouldn’t the sheets always be washed? I felt grossed out sleeping in them after realizing that. I don’t understand why they quote one fee and then add another.
