We ended up not staying, but the cabin looked clean and simple in a nice way. The area felt cozy, with a few friendly cats and dogs around. We had already arrived and paid for one night when we needed to cancel, and the owner was gracious about it, easy to reach, and refunded us.

A great little find, and I’ll come back. The rates are really (really) reasonable, and you can park a motorcycle right outside your cabin. The cabins are basic but cute, and the people are lovely. There’s a bathroom in the room, simple but perfectly fine, plus a mosquito net over the bed. Bring Raid.
Our service dog was accepted after we showed his document, though I’m not sure about other pets. We planned to stay a few nights and ended up booking more because we’re still enjoying it. The bed is comfortable, and the Wi-Fi has been fairly steady and decent speed, though we sometimes switch between two networks. There are lots of three-prong outlets in the cabana, too. We chose this place while visiting Calakmul because prices closer to the ruins were beyond our budget. In Xpujil, the town has a small village feel, with local tiendas and little supermarkets nearby. The cabanas sit around a covered outdoor common area with guest-use fridge space and tables for eating or relaxing. Ours was clean, small, and simple, with no window, so we’ve been leaving the door open during the day. There’s a standing fan, a private bathroom with hot water, towels and toilet paper, and a mosquito net hanging over the bed. Federico welcomed us the night we arrived, and everyone has been friendly and happy to help whenever we ask. We paid 250 pesos per night for the cabana at this time, the cheapest we found in the area, and we’re glad we stopped.
The owner was really friendly, and we enjoyed our stay in these clean, simple huts in a residential part of Xpujil. They provide mosquito nets, though the cabins aren’t fully closed off, so mosquitoes and cold air can get in at night. A warmer blanket would have earned the last star.
The street outside can be noisy, so earplugs may be a good idea. The bungalows are lovely, and the people are extremely kind and helpful around town. They even held the bus so we could make our connection, and helped arrange a nice tour to calakmul.
