Great!

We had a really pleasant, peaceful stay and loved the place. Keep in mind you may need a car to get there. There are small shops nearby. They can provide coffee and bread, or breakfast, for an extra charge, which is handy if you just want to relax in your cabin. The staff were excellent from the first WhatsApp messages, and the service on arrival was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. I'm not giving five stars because the sheets on one bed smelled musty. It was a bit late to ask for fresh ones once we noticed, so we used the super warm comforter instead and were fine. đź’› :)

The blankets and pillows smelled awful, but when I told Agustina, she replaced them right away. Bring your own soap and shampoo. The place needs a lot of maintenance, and there was no internet, little water pressure, and a tiny water heater. There are only two staff members for the whole place, and although they try their best, they're not enough. They also charge extra for pets without telling you ahead of time. It's about 10 minutes from downtown Zacatlán de las Manzanas, along a dirt road.

The quiet setting and the roomy cabins were a real plus. Hot water was always available, the beds were wonderfully soft, and the receptionist was kind and helped us with everything. A few things could be better: it’s on the outskirts of Zactlán, and while that makes the area peaceful, it’s a bit removed. Our cabin had no internet even though reception did, so that should be checked. Also, the skylights let in a lot of morning light; curtains or replacements would help. Apart from those points, we had an excellent stay.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly, but the cabin was uncomfortably cold even with the fireplace. At night the hallway light stayed on and shone through the upper windows, with no way to block it; during the day, though, the cabin felt dark and the bulbs weren’t bright enough. We were also charged an extra $150 per night for our adult Yorkie, despite him being well behaved, and weren’t given a bowl or bed. We picked up after him, and he didn’t damage anything; he’s housebroken in grassy areas.
