Oyo Hotel La Playa

The courtyard echoes, so it's incredibly loud. There aren't any chairs in the rooms, and I had to argue just to borrow one from the pool area for an online interview in my room. Then at 8 in the morning, they woke me by pounding on my door because they thought I'd brought a girl into the room, which they said was “prohibited.” I hadn't brought anyone in. Even if I had, why should that concern the hotel staff? I've never been more annoyed by a stay. I can't say enough how frustrating it was. DO NOT STAY HERE.

A handy spot near the market, banks, pharmacies, and beach. We paid under $600 pesos for parking and air conditioning, and it worked well for a quick rest before heading to Playa La Gatas in the morning, ahead of check-in at an all inclusive.

The AC was leaking, and the place smelled sour. The owner ignored me when I asked for a refund and said she wouldn't give the money back. Worst place I've ever stayed.

We only stayed for one night, but were really happy with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and never intrusive, and I found the rooms spacious and very clean. There's covered parking to keep your car safe, too. Facilities seem new, or at least fairly new, and the room had air conditioning, a fan, a smart TV, and internet. The pool was clean, with a shower to rinse off after the beach. There's a shared area where you can relax with snacks while the kids play in the pool. The location in Zihuatanejo is excellent, with restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, and even the market all close by. A great vacation option.
