OYO Hotel Posada Lys, Zihuatanejo

If I could give them a negative rating, I would. We got in late at night just to sleep for a couple of hours. The front desk attendant told us the TV wasn’t working, but said everything else was fine. The AC didn’t work either, and there were some big black crickets in the room. When I went downstairs to find her, she’d disappeared. We didn’t see anyone else until almost 7 a.m.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room had good AC and a firm bed, though the shower pressure was weak. It was affordable, but not the best stay. We saw better options nearby while walking around. Our room was at the back by a stove, sink, and the motorcycles. It felt more like somebody’s home than a hotel, and from what I could tell, a family owns or runs it. The room didn’t look like the photos, though it was okay.

We had a lot of luggage, so it worked out well to be on the lower level, by ourselves at the back. It was very easy to catch the plane the next morning. They were accommodating, and I’d definitely come back.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel is clean overall. The family owns the place. During my stay, the internet on the fourth floor didn’t work properly, and they removed all the TV set-top boxes, so guests had no TV at all. There was also a bathroom leak, but they took care of it right away.
