We booked and paid for one night's stay yesterday before our hike at Gunung Datuk the next morning. When we arrived to check in, they said a system glitch meant they were fully booked and had no room for us. Such an irresponsible, unprofessional operator, and they weren't even apologetic. We had to cancel the hike and drive back to KL.

The area and the experience were lovely, but I couldn't connect to the wifi or find any clue about the password, so I had to use my phone for internet. Luckily, my phone could provide a connection. I use maxis.

The masak lemak tempoyak ikan patin was quite hot compared with Temerloh's version, but I loved it and it suited my taste. The ayam kampung goreng came out hot too. They cook it after you order, so it takes a while, but it's worth it.

We had a confirmed, paid room, but there was no reservation when we arrived. I called at least 15 accommodations in the wider area, and they were all full, so we had to cancel our hiking trip.
