D'Rapport Residence by Airhost

Our tenancy was due to end in June, and we were shocked to learn that a new developer had taken over and our three-month deposit would not be refunded. The previous owner or developer stopped responding and gave us no advance notice. The condo has lots of facilities, but maintenance is poor, with security gaps and problems like malfunctioning lifts and lifts without ventilation. The new developer is doing many renovations and has raised the rent for anyone who wants to stay. Otherwise, we're told to leave without the deposit because maintenance costs are supposedly high, even though the facilities still aren't ready.

D'Rapport Residence has become more convenient since 2025. As of 19 January 2026, there is a Chinese supermarket, KK Mart, and several other shops. The resident population is growing, mostly with foreigners, including Chinese and Middle Eastern residents and embassy staff. For reference, JPPH records show a condo sale on 14 November 2025 for RM2,818,387. The unit was 2,237.92 sqft, or 207.91 sqm, at RM1,259 psqft or RM13,556 psqm. The rental record is from 1 May 2024: RM4,500 for 1,939 sqft, or 180.130 sqm, which works out to RM2.32 psqft or RM25 psqm. The leasehold tenure expires on 25-Oct-2106. D'Rapport Residence is a favourite location for PR China citizens for both sales and rentals. Other residents include Middle Eastern expatriates and embassy staff. As someone working in valuation and estate agency, I'm glad to share this update. Back in 2025, the residence had few conveniences.

The car park and entrance were really dark at night, which made me feel unsafe. Our homestay booking was with MXXxxxxxN GROUP, which has many airbnb units here, and check-in was supposed to be at 3pm. We waited in the lobby for almost three hours and only got into the unit around 6pm. Customer service wouldn't answer calls, and they read our messages without replying. If they'd told us in advance that we couldn't check in on time, we could have gone somewhere else and come back later instead of wasting time waiting. A horrible experience.

KK Mart is right on the ground floor, and the location felt fairly private. It's about 8-10 minutes from the city center. Check-in and parking were easy too. The unit was huge and nice, with 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets, and an extra powder room. It had a Smart TV, full toiletries, floor mats, and kitchen amenities. With 5 queen beds, it was comfortable for 6-8 people. WiFi was provided, though there was no signal in the master bedroom toilet. Overall, it was okay.
