Indah Garden Hotel

The hotel's location is convenient, near Giant hypermarket, MR.DIY, Eco-shop, and plenty of restaurants. I hope management takes the building's upkeep seriously, because the reality was disappointing compared with the appealing photos. The place looks old and needs maintenance, right down to the signboard, and the reception feels drab without air conditioning. At check-in they hand you a case with the AC and TV remotes, which you have to return when checking out, presumably because of past theft issues. My room's digital lock didn't work properly, since the door could still be moved while locked. The door and frame were rusty and needed repainting, with paint peeling off. There was hair on the dirty floor and stains on the bedsheet. Soundproofing was poor, and I could smell smoke from the hallway. In the bathroom, the rubber base on the folding door was coming loose. The window blinds were stained, too, and lowering the AC temperature could easily lead to water dripping onto the bed. They supplied soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper, and bottled water, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. For an iron and other things, you have to ask reception and leave a deposit. Only two TV channels worked. I'm not especially picky, but there are a lot of maintenance issues to address.

I’m sharing this because it happened to me: the “free” cancellation and the “free” stay for my wife weren’t really free. It was a pretty bad experience.

I paid for two nights, but left after the first because I couldn’t stand staying there. There were bugs around, the floor and bathroom were dirty, moldy and slippery, and the hallway smelled bad. I suspected staff were cooking local food inside the property. On the top floor, I could hear rats moving above the ceiling all night. The room had no working air conditioning when I checked in. I reported it, but the manager didn’t believe me and made me wait while they tested it before agreeing to charge me for the room. The staff also seemed unfriendly, which made me uncomfortable. I asked for a refund and was refused. I know this is a budget hotel and didn’t expect much, but in my experience it wasn’t fit to stay in. I hope this helps others decide. The parking claim was misleading too. There’s no hotel parking lot; the spaces are along the road and belong to the local authorities. You have to pay through an app, and I got a parking ticket the next morning.

You can hear everything your neighbors are doing through the poor soundproofing, lol. The room is tiny, there’s no hot water for a bath, and I found cockroaches inside.
