Arau Heritage Inn

Food stalls are within walking distance, and the room and bathroom are roomy, with enough space to pray. The place has been refurbished with a mix of classic and modern touches, but there's no TV in the room. Cleanliness could be better, as I found strands of hair on the floor. There was also an unpleasant body odor when I came in, and it lingered until evening.

Being near the KTM station and food stalls is convenient, but cooking smells from the shop next door can drift into the room. Staff were helpful and room service was okay. The room has air conditioning, soap, a TV and a cupboard; I also liked that there's a prayer mat outside and the kiblat direction is marked. Parking isn't great. You can leave the car anywhere nearby, but if you park farther away you can't see it. The area feels fairly secure since people are around, with food stalls and the State mosque nearby. The bathroom was disappointing, with slow water and little heat. Some holes in the toilet and room ceilings looked a bit scary. It's not soundproof, so expect noise at night and in the morning. Reasonable price, I'd rate it 3/5.

The counter service was quick, and a nice person helped with check-in. The room was pleasant and clean, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. It's in a handy spot near the commuter station Arau Bandar Diraja and food stalls and restaurants.

On 9 June 2023, I stayed here on my way back to Klang by ETS. It was comfortable and inexpensive, and just a short walk from ETS Arau station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Arau town is close. I'd recommend it to travellers.
