RG Hotel

Check-in was okay, nothing special, and instant food is sold in the waiting area. But the hallway and room were dusty, the washroom drain was clogged with hair, and the duvet cover and towel were stained. There was no linen or housekeeping service, and the WiFi didn’t work. It didn’t feel suitable for family or business travel, though as a budget hotel the overall experience was average.

The rooms had hot, powerful showers that left us feeling refreshed. I’d booked two rooms, though one had only a small window and the other felt like a cell. The duvet had yellow and brown stains, and the white sheet had gone grey. The rooms were generally clean, but dust had gathered in places. Each door uses a physical key, and I struggled to turn mine because the lock was a bit faulty.

The room was comfortable and suited the price. Staff were good and friendly, thank you.

I checked out as soon as I checked in. That’s how bad it was. Dust covered the furniture and window sills, and the room looked poorly maintained. The bathroom was grimy too, with mould in the shower corners and stains on the floor. The linens looked worn and smelled musty, so I couldn’t believe they’d been freshly washed. I also found spiders crawling in the corners and saw a few on the bed. It was unsettling and uncomfortable. RG HOTEL didn’t meet even basic cleanliness and hygiene standards, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, comfortable stay. It was far from the relaxing getaway I’d hoped for.
