Beruang Hill Resort

We stayed for 11 nights and asked for housekeeping every day, as the check-in instructions said to place a card out for it. By the second night, the room hadn't been serviced, so I had to tell reception. On the third night, we woke up with bed bug bites. I reported it to the front desk again and asked them to address it, but the next day the sheets still hadn't been changed. We eventually requested a different room. When we went upstairs to pack, we discovered housekeeping had been missed again that day. On several occasions, towels and sheets had visible yellow and blood stains.

I've stayed here a number of times, in both the apartment-style room in the main block and the double room in the new block. The pool was the one good part. For the prices charged, neither room felt worth it: the double room was only about the size of a regular cheap hotel room, despite costing so much.

Getting around was easy, with access to Air Keroh attractions like the zoo, crocodile farm, botani, and Mitc, plus a nearby shopping mall. You can avoid the congested main road to Bandar Hilir (pusat bandar), and there are several breakfast options in the area. The units were nice and clean, customer service was great, and the pool had fun depths for Asian adults and kids around 90 cm tall.

The people there were nice, and the place was clean overall, but we didn't have a pleasant stay. The room was in poor condition, with very weak air conditioning and bathroom taps that didn't work properly. There was no room service.
