Maznah Guest House

We spent a couple of nights at this lovely guest house, where the host greeted us with a kind smile and provided breakfast. It was quite minimal, but still gave us that magical feeling of paradise Cherating is sure to bring. Everything we needed was there. The sea is barely five minutes away, and the fans kept the place cool enough. Families may enjoy the many cats that lazily keep you company. If you work remotely, there’s an outlet on the covered terrace. If you happen to meet Barney, the lone-seeming teacher from Australia who smokes Malboro Red, give him our regards and listen closely to his fascinating stories about education systems in South-East Asia. The place could use a little maintenance, but the family running it will make your stay great. Thanks for everything!

This was my second stay, though we had to cut our visit short when our plans changed because of unforeseen circumstances. Both stays have been pleasant. The rooms are good, and some even have a fridge, which is a bonus. The lower-budget rooms are simple and affordable, just as you’d expect. The host is a really good guy, very friendly and always happy to help. I’d recommend the place if you’re travelling around the area. See you again!

I won’t get my RM50 deposit back. The room was ugly, the bidet didn’t work, the foyer bulb was blown, and the windows had a few holes. The mattress and pillow were so hard. This is totally a scam! Read the other guests’ reviews if you don’t believe me.
