For the price, the location is hard to beat. It’s about a five-minute walk to the beach, with plenty of little shops and kampung warung to look around along the way. From outside, the place looks a bit rundown, but the rooms are decent and clean. The toilets worked well and the water pressure was strong. The landscaping is nicely done, and the staff, who are mostly locals, were friendly. Breakfast was simple but good: nasi lemak, omelette, and enough variety to get the day started. Worth what you pay for a short trip to Cherating.

The pool was probably the best part of this hotel, it’s great. The hotel is well located within walking distance of the beach and restaurants, and it has its own restaurant too. Breakfast was fine, with a wide selection of Malaysian and Western food. The room was fine as well, though it felt like it hadn’t been aired out enough before we arrived.

The quiet atmosphere was nice, though with so few guests around it could feel a little lifeless. The room was spacious, but the furniture looked dated. I also noticed stains on the curtains and what looked like mold on the chair, which was disappointing. Most basic facilities worked fine. Breakfast was simple and nothing special, with limited choices, probably because there weren’t many guests while I was there. My stay was just okay. It works if you want somewhere quiet, but cleanliness and room upkeep could be better.

Azmi took us around the nearby kampung in the buggy after driving us to the beach. He was kind and really nice. Rini at the front desk was just as warm, polite, and helpful. She found us a better room for less than our online booking because of the CNY promotion. Breakfast was average. We stayed 13/2/26-15/2/26. Thanks, RI, and kudos to Rini and Azmi. The rest of the Residence Inn staff seemed just as dedicated and nice.

Rini made check-in easy and sorted out the breakfast deal add-on without any hassle. She was friendly and professional throughout, and really made our stay better. Fantastic service, highly recommended.
