The pool-facing room is a good choice, and the hotel is close to the beach. The drive into town takes about 15 minutes, with food places and shops there. Watch out for the very tall, sharp speed humps on the road if you have a low car. Parking is free and easy once you give reception your plate number, then the gantry opens automatically. Staff are well trained and the service was great. Breakfast had plenty of variety, though spending at the hotel was a bit steep. The price is reasonable compared with nearby hotels. Loved the stay.

Danny found us a great table and even sang the birthday song with the team, which made celebrating my wife's birthday feel extra special. He was friendly and polite throughout. Tira gave my son a lolipop too, and that really made our day. We had a lovely experience and will definitely come back. Thank you both for the warm hospitality. Hard Rock Hotel Desaru management, they deserve a medal!

We spent 3 days and 2 nights here and had such a good time, especially at the water park. My kids loved it. The room and food were good too, and everyone we dealt with, from the entrance through checkout, looked presentable and gave professional, caring service. This was my first visit to desaru hard rock, and everything was superb. We’ll come again. It might be even better if the water park opened earlier, at 9am. Thank you hard rock 🩷

Breaking fast with my son in such a cheerful setting was the best part. The Ramadan buffet at Hard Rock Desaru Coast made for a lovely family evening, full of laughter and memories. There was a broad selection, from local Malay dishes to Western favorites, all nicely presented and flavorful. The atmosphere felt festive but still comfortable, with decor that brought together Ramadan and Hard Rock’s style. Staff were welcoming and attentive, and everything went smoothly. It felt like a celebration of family and tradition as much as a meal. A night to remember.

The waterpark being linked straight to the hotel made it easy to enjoy a day of rides and games with the girls, after years away from waterparks. The underwater music pool was a first for me and so cool. We also had a lot of fun back in the room, playing guitar, putting on records, dancing and singing. The sofa bed in the living room was huge and comfy enough for two. We spent two nights relaxing by the live band, chatting and enjoying the music and atmosphere. Staff were super friendly, and the food at the restaurant and GMT+8 was so good. The lounge was awesome too, with great food, nice bites and a good place for pictures. Such a fun, relaxing girls trip. I destressed a lot and really enjoyed the stay 💯
