I expected worse because seaside places are usually hard to keep up, but it was surprisingly clean and well maintained. The food and hygiene in the dining area were better than I expected too. Well done to the management. I didn’t take pictures because I wasn’t expecting this kind of quality for the price I paid.

It’s good value for the price. The beach isn’t there, just a stone wall between the hotel grounds and the sea, though the sunsets are beautiful. I was on a work trip, so I can’t speak to activities at the hotel or nearby. The pool looks just like the photos, and there’s a small area where kids can see rabbits, tortoises, chickens (ayam serama) and budgerigars (love birds). The rooms were clean, though not new. Bathrooms had large refillable bottles of decent body soap and shampoo, surprisingly better quality than at most 3-star hotels. The food wasn’t exceptional, but it was fine. The buffet had a reasonable number of choices, even if some kuih kept repeating.

I was here for a conference, and the management and staff took such good care of us. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. There was plenty of tasty food, and the coffee was amazing!

Breakfast at Pucuk Paku Rest was awesome, with tasty food and lots of variety. The pools were great too, and the room was very clean, so good job to housekeeping. I stayed in block C at 405, with a superb partial ocean view. Worth the price paid. The beach wasn’t accessible because the tide was strong. I’d personally recommend this hotel for its value.
