The rooms are spacious, nice and quiet, though there are only very basic things provided. You might get mosquitoes now and then. It's handy for the beach and night market, and there's a supermarket in the same compound. Getting to Georgetown takes about an hour on bus 101, so it's a bit out of the way if you want to see the city's UNESCO heritage sites.

Parking was a hassle because the way to the back was blocked, so I had to leave my car in front of the convenience store. Someone nearby scratched my car door, too. The walkway looks makeshift, and the corridor feels like a 60s stroll. Inside, the room door is so hard to shut you have to slam it, while the lock feels like a toilet lock and seems easy for a thief to open in under a minute. The toilet door is makeshift as well, and the toilet itself can prep in. Reception could only speak Malay and couldn't understand English. The air conditioning wasn't great and the TV didn't work. At least the water pressure was strong.

There were lots of mosquitoes in the room when I went to check it after checking in. I asked the staff if I could change rooms, but they said there wasn't another one. I didn't feel the hotel was safe, and my phone charger went missing from the room.

We checked in as a family and found the room and toilet clean, with hot water and air conditioning. The hospitality was warm, and it was simply the best option in the area. There's also convenient access to the facilities. I hope other guests take good care of the hotel so everyone can keep enjoying them.
