The location worked well, within walking distance of many restaurants and the Bus Terminal. Night Riverside hawker food court is nearby too, for non-halal food. I stayed one night in a Deluxe Single, booked for 14 September 2019. It’s on a quiet road away from the main road, with more parking. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a water dispenser, so bring your own bottle, and lifts make it manageable with heavy luggage. The room was prepared and looked quite clean at first. Bathroom hygiene was okay except for the basin, which had mold and yellow stains around it. The heater had strong water pressure and felt good. There was no toilet roll, so I asked at the desk and she gave me one, saying it may have been missed. Be aware the air conditioner might drip if left on a low temperature overnight. I was dreaming when drops woke me up, falling from the unit directly above.

The receptionist was nice, but a booking error left my card unusable. They sorted that out, then at 2 AM someone opened the door while I was alone and half awake, because that person had been given my room number. How ridiculous. The bed was right in front of the bathroom door too, which felt uncomfortable. I’ll never come back.

This is a small, no-frills place that suits a solo business traveler on a short stay. You get what you pay for, and it’s not suitable for families or couples. There’s a lift, and parking outside is easy and plentiful. The accommodation is cheap and reasonable, with a comfortable bed, functioning air-conditioning, a strong shower, and free fast WiFi. There were mosquitoes in the room, the bedsheet smelled, and the walls didn’t block sound. The TV didn’t work, the room was small, and the iron and board were outside the room.

For the reasonable rate, the town centre location is convenient and the surroundings are quiet. The thick mattress was really comfortable too. The Deluxe Single was OK, though the triple room felt a bit small.
