The full-board 3D2N stay at Riders Resort, from Wednesday to Friday, was a real treat. Everyone at the hotel and stables was friendly and patient. I also loved the one-hour group riding class and the 1.5-hour trail ride. It was such a fun break from city life. The resort is quite far from the nearest town, so you'll need to drive. Having breakfast, lunch, and dinner included made the stay easy, and the staff were flexible about meal times and preferences. It was peaceful and quaint out there. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

The beginner horse-riding lesson was a highlight. Our instructor explained things in a very systematic way, and the helpers were so patient and kind. There are about 18 horses in the stables, and they’re magnificent. We were sorry to leave them. The three thoroughbreds in my pictures are Astrospeed (white), Golden Crown (brown horse with a long diamond-shaped white mark on his face), and Lord Lester, who comes from a line of champions. Riders Resort is peaceful, set in a huge open area that apparently includes a golf course, though we never saw it because the grounds are so big. The railway line runs alongside the resort. If you sit near the restaurant, you can hear the KTM trains pass now and then with a quiet hum. The people here are cheerful and welcoming. Our room's water heater wasn't working, but they switched our rooms promptly. There’s also a small pool in the dining area, which seems like a clever convenience for parents with young kids. All in all, a perfect place for a therapeutic holiday.

The staff were welcoming and did their best to help with requests. They also arranged transport for us very promptly. Our room had plenty of space and a high ceiling, and it was clean enough. Toiletries and tissue were provided. The shower hose holder was too low, so I had to half squat to wash my hair. Water from the rain shower came out in jets and in different directions, probably because of mineral buildup. We chose the jungle trail ride, which goes through nearby forests that turned out to be all palm plantations. It was sad seeing the natural diversity replaced by palm trees. The horses looked well groomed, and the staff were attentive and professional. I had a decent time, and it's clear the team works hard to care for the stables and keep things running smoothly. Having ridden in New Zealand, where we were encouraged to connect with horses as sentient beings, I noticed a different approach here. The ride was led by a groom, and although we held the reins, they felt more symbolic than useful. The horses seemed to follow a routine, with little individual engagement or recognition of their personalities. I don't think they were mistreated, and they appeared physically well cared for, but the setup felt more business-oriented. The horses came across as part of an efficient system rather than companions with their own quirks and preferences. I appreciate the team's effort. This may be normal for many commercial riding schools, and it's a safe, accessible way for beginners to try riding. Personally, though, I prefer an approach that builds more of a connection between horse and rider.

The hospitality and learning were excellent. I don't eat meat often, but I finished the huge, really tasty steak. The 3D2N camp exceeded what I expected. I came away rested and revived.

A great spot to relax away from the busy work routine. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is good quality. I especially loved riding on the guided long tour through the palm plantations. Strongly recommended for horse-riding fans, families, couples, and friends getting together.
